Reminder: Annotated Bibliography, Outline Slideshow, and a Draft of your Research Paper must be shared and submitted through the Junior Page of the Senior Project Site by March 15. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN FAILURE OF THE COURSE!

Learning Target: W.11-12.1 Write arguments to support claims in an analysis of substantive topics. W.11-12.4 Produce clear and coherent writing. W.11-12.5 Develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, editing, or trying a new method.
Classwork
  • Do Now: Read and annotate Quarter 3, Week 11 of 11. Attach the document to the NEXT PAGE of your notebook.
  • After: Reviewing due-dates and beginning of Quarter 4 (research packet p. 3)
  • Then: Independent Reading Preview for Quarter 4 (independent reading log)
  • Next: Individual student-teacher meetings and research paper revision time
Target Practice: I can use the techniques and feedback offered in class to revise my essay for assessment. Fist-5?
Homework
  • Finish revising the second draft of the essay (If you've already submitted a draft, there is no need to submit again. Just make the changes you feel are necessary based on editing)
  • Preview IR/group reading options for Q4- You ARE NOT required to make a selection, only research: The Kite Runner, Into Thin Air, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Different Seasons, Maus/Maus II, The Illustrated Man, The Great Gatsby, or The Things They Carried.
Looking Ahead: Continue checking your draft over the break for suggestions- final drafts are due Sunday, April 10!
