  3. Then: Review Claim/Counterclaim/refute using example paper
  4. Next: Complete thesis statement practice on p. 11 of the research paper packet

Learning Objective: W.11-12.1b, Develop claims and counterclaims fairly and thoroughly using relevant evidence. 
  1. Do Now: Copy the learning objective and target practice. Then, write your claim and counterclaim in your journal.
  2. After: Complete page 13 of the research paper packet, focusing on the refute
  3. Then: using your Annotated Bibliography, determine which source will best support your refute of the counterclaim. In your journal, write a one sentence refute of the counterclaim.
  4. Next: Individual time to complete Annotated Bibliography or continue the slideshow outline
