Classwork
Learning Objective: RI.11-12.1, Cite strong and thorough textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says, as well as make inferences based on the text.
  1. Do Now: Write the learning objective and target practice. Then, look at page 13 of your research paper packet How will you refute the counterclaim? Write down some ideas in your journal.  Label the list: Refute/Rebuttal Ideas.
  2. After: Using computers, continue working on slides for next week's presentations (template may be found on the Junior Page of the Senior Project site)
  3. Then: In groups, determine what is expected for the slideshow outline presentation (use your research paper packet for guidance)
  4. During: stamp Research Paper packet pages 12 and 13 (must be complete)

Learning Objective: W.11-12.5, Develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, editing, rewriting, or trying a new approach to focus on what is significant for a specific purpose and audience.
  1. Do Now: Write learning objective and target practice.  Then, write what your biggest obstacle will be before presenting next week.  How will you overcome it/them? Responses should be in paragraph format.
  2. After: Continue working on slideshow outline for presentation
  3. Then: (optional) share your presentation with a friend for peer editing (remember to remove comments before presenting next week)
  4. Next: Reminder that the interview must be completed before the first draft is submitted.
