  1. Do Now: Preview the entire blog post for this week. Title the next page of your INB Quarter 1, Week 8 of 9. In a format that works best for you, use the entire page to organize:
      • today's focus, short-term activities, long-term activities, due dates
  2. After: Copy information from your Into the Wild foldable and stickies into your Annotated Bibliography. After, staple the foldable study guide and any stickies onto the next page of your INB. Make sure the page number is on them. Write today's date the page.
    • Then: Use the planning guide at the top of your Annotated Bibliography to plan the EA 2 essay. Look at your research, the INB entry from last class, and this list for ideas:
        • The essay should be at least four paragraphs: introduction to the argument, description of the American Dream, counterclaim, reflective conclusion
        • Try to include evidence from all of your sources in the two middle paragraphs
        • Avoid generalizations- statements that have words like: everyone, all, everybody, many, most, nobody, none.
    • Next: Title the next page of your INB Draft EA 2: Is The American Dream Still Possible? Draft the essay (20 minute timed-write).
    Target Practice: I can draft an essay that clearly states my position on whether or not the American Dream is still possible to attain. Fist-5?

After, listen to instructions. You are making a bookmark for annotation while you read the rest of the book. You may choose what to annotate for from the list (any 4):
