Make sure to complete the reflection worksheet after your lesson and write a short, multi-paragraph reflection in your INB!
Grades close on Friday, May 31 @ 1:15! It is your responsibility to check it and make sure everything is accurate BEFORE that time. If you feel something is wrong, let me know.

Learning Target: SL.11-12.1.C Propel conversations by posing and responding to questions that probe reasoning and evidence. SL.11-12.1.D Respond thoughtfully to diverse perspectives; synthesize comments, claims, and evidence made on all sides of an issue.

Classwork

1. Do Now: Read through the work in your interactive notebook. One the next available blank page in Section 4, write a multi-paragraph reflection on the activities you enjoyed, those you struggled with, and where you think you grew throughout the year.
2. After: INB Check #10
3. Then: Socratic Seminar reflecting on the year
4. During: When you are in the outer-circle, complete the End-of-Year Reflection Form on Google Classroom. You may also comment on the posting. But, it is not necessary for this seminar.

Target Practice: I became a better reader, writer, speaker, listener, researcher, and/or group member through my experiences in American Literature and Expository Writing I. Fist-5?

Homework

• Make sure everything that should be assessed has been in Infinite Campus. Grades close on Friday, May 31.

Have a transformative summer! It's your last one before stepping into another world after graduation next year. Explore this wonderful island we call home. Learn something new about yourself. Read a book at night before you go to bed. In whatever you do, always be legendary!

Classwork (Period 4 Student Lesson Only)

1. Do Now: Label the next LEFT side of your INB Brainstorm List.
• Divide your page in half (going with the lines).
• Divide the top half into four columns. 
• Label the columns Places, Food, Colors, and Animals.
• Label the bottom half Characters and Descriptions.
2. After: Label the Right side of the page My Story.
• Create a fictional story using some of the things from the lists and some of the characters you made up. 
3. Then: Find your groups (we’ll hand out cards)
4. During: Combine your stories to make a new one including all of your characters. 
• Create each of your characters from the story. 
• Choose and agree on a favorite scene or part of the story to bring to life on the piece of roller paper (background, word bubbles.. etc.) 
• Present it to the class.
5. Next: Write a reflection on the next Right (or whatever room you have from your story) page on what you thought about this lesson.

• On next RIGHT page of your INB, write a reflection about what you learned today
