    • Then: (10 min. timed-writing) Choose a topic from the EA 2 info. sheet list or one of your own choosing. Be serious, silly, inspiring- but not hurtful, demeaning, or disrespectful. No research required! Your speech must:
      • Identify/Define the problem that needs a solution
      • Make a strong claim for how to fix the problem or need
      • Show why your proposal will fix the problem or address the need
      • Demonstrate that your proposal is realistic, reasonable, sensible, etc.

    2. After: Complete LC 2.22 Writing Logical Comparisons activity on pp. 190-1
    3. Then: (10 min. timed writing) Draft a 30 second version of your speech. Remember, it must:
