    • The document goes on one page of your INB and your matching written outline goes on the opposite page
  2. After: Use the rubric on page 21 of this document to self-assess your annotated bibliography
    • It would be a good idea to have someone else do this for you as well.

  3. Then: Your choice:
      • Continue working on the annotated bibliography to meet whatever level of proficiency you want
        • OR
      • Refine your outline to be the best it can be. We will begin using it to draft your essay next class
  4. Next: 10 minute timed-write: Use the Creating and Refining a Thesis Statement worksheet on pages 12 and 13 of this document to draft your thesis statement.
Target Practice: I am confident that my annotated bibliography is completed to proficient level or better, and that I can begin drafting my research paper. Fist-5?

  • Complete the annotated bibliography by Friday @ midnight. This includes at least 10 COMPLETE source entries, one of which is an interview that you conducted.

    1. Contact AT LEAST 3 potential interview candidates: one who will probably say yes, one who might say yes, and one who you would like to interview but are not sure what they will say.
    • Remember: You are representing your school and your family when you conduct the interview. Consider this when you are addressing the interviewee.
  3. After: 15 minute timed-write: Using the knowledge you've gained from research so far, write an essay about your topic.

    • Narrowing the search parameters to get better results using Google Scholar
  3. Then: Search for and make a complete annotated bibliography entry for at least one more source using Google Scholar
    • A complete entry must contain: MLA Citation, quotes, paraphrases, summary, e/p/l review, and CRAAP review
  4. Next: 15 minute timed-write: Using the knowledge you've gained from research so far, write an essay about your topic. In your writing, include at least three pieces of cited information to support your ideas.
Target Practice: I understand and can use Google Scholar to learn new information about my topic. I can keep track of that information using my annotated bibliography. Fist-5?
